engine rpm fluctuates with power draw
This might be normal, but i am not sure...
something is not right with my car's power, and i am suspecting a grounding issue...... engine rpm at idle appears to be affected by power draw....for example, opening or closing windows will cause dips in rpm. turning AC on will cause a dip in rpm, oil pressure guage (new) fluctuates with power draw (become jumpy when ac is on).....I changed the voltage regulator with new Bosch unit, but still having a problem. tested battery and charging system at Autozone, they told me all is normal...... is this normal behavior? or are these unrelated issues? thanks,

Well how is that lower wiring harness? You have the right year for it to be shorting out. The oil pressure gage wire is part of it. And autozone looks for voltage above 13 as good, when our regulator goes bad it jumps up to 15-17 so check that yourself with a volt meter.

car has updated upper harness, and i rebuilt the lower harness my self since it was completely bad...I have since switched the old regulator back, then the new one back ..same behavior .......i also tried a non-bosch one i found....same behavior (i returned that one)...OVP is new, but no change from the old one....
