Red face Okay don't laugh but...

So don't laugh but I need to change the brake pads on my 89 560SEL and change the oil too.

I never done either one.

I'm looking for a step by step guide for each process. Can someone send me some links for these??

I do work on my cars just not brakes, oil, etc.

I've replace window motors, windows, hunted down vaccume issues, replaced blower motors, etc...

Any advise I'd appreciate.

Thanks!!

Get a copy of the Mercedes Benz repair & maintenance CD-ROM for your car. Great stuff that you can print out one portion at a time, as needed.

Also, check out a book called the E-Class Bible - it has some great info in it. I bought mine used on Amazon.com

At the top of this forum on the right is a "button" labeled RESOURCES - check that out. There are DIY (do it yourself) articles and DIY links. You should be able to find something to help you out.

Don't laugh, but why don't you join the local chapter of MBCA?

http://www.kcmbca.org/

I bet someone therein would enjoy helping you.

Internet "help" is a WAY distant second to help from someone who's done it and is right there with you.

Everyone on this forum who turns a wrench was in your shoes at one time.

At least you don't pay $400 for an oil change because the mechanic also had to change the perquackey valve!
