Self Leveling on E500 dies again!!!!
Hi All,
The accumulators on my Starmarked E500 (52K miles) failed last year and were replaced. Only 14 months and 2k miles later, they have failed again. Warranty expired in Feb this year. This strikes me as really abnormal that accumulators should fail twice in 14 months. Any one else ever seen anything similar? I thought these things lasted for next to forever???? Naturally, MBUSA does not want to stand behind the workmanship of its dealer. Let me know what you think. Thanks farrukh ps. dealer just fixed the cells and says the car is now fine again. |

Absurd!
Are ya kiddin' us? Y'know, this happened 'cuz you missed the 500E fest!! Next time, be there amigo.
Really, though, I'm still on my originals-sounds nuts. I'll make some calls on your behalf & get back to you. Just out of curiosity, did the car ever sit for long periods?

Sounds like a very uncommon occurance: nitrogen cells failing so soon.....did they put used ones in? probably not
How did you know they were out again? Harsh rear ride? Were you able to get dealership to cut you a break on the latest nitrogen cells replacement? Did they flush system this time and last time? tks-fad |
