SL500 AC Diagnostics and other SRS and Brake Light Issues.

At the moment, everything is fine with the AC. Last year I spent weeks trying to figure out why the fans would not come on, cycle off and than on, if it was a problem with the evaporator sensors, in car sensors or the condensor. I saw an earlier thread on the site about the ability to troubleshoot via the controller but I didn't have the procedure to do so and I want to thank you for that info. I have just started to drive the car now that the weather in Cleveland is warming up. The problems I have now are related to my removing the steering wheel to replace it and driving without the airbag attached and the SRS dash light is "ON" and I figure I need to take to a dealer to get the code "wiped" now that the wheel and bag are in place. Recently, the ABS and "brake" dash warning lights came on. Brakes are recently new, brakes were bled by an indie a couple of weeks ago, fluid level is fine. Must have been driven a couple of hundred miles since. I figure to check the brake pedal switch and the third brake light in the trunk cavity because I know the bulb and socket are not in place, they are "bouncing" around inside the trunk-lid covering. So if you have any thoughts on either of these I'd appreciate it. The Indie wants to charge $75 to troubleshoot EACH dash warning light. So I thought I'd start with the obvious things first. If I construct that LED test light I've read about on the Forum, will that enable me to clear the SRS dash light??? Thanks, Steve
