accessory belt tensioner

Hi all, I am about to replace the accessory belt tensioner on a w124 m119 1992 400e. I Have the part, a new belt, the shop manual instructions printed out. The tensioner is the first version.

Before I go into this, any tips? Have not done much besides plugs and such on the engine.

Is there damage I could do? Or is it really as simple as the manual seems to make it. Looks like I could loose a washer into the abyss if I am not careful, but besides that it seems pretty clear. thanks
