yet a new issue
background....had an oil leak at the front seal of the crankshaft (87 420sel)
1. replaced seal 2. replaced hardware and seal for lower oil pan leak was repaired.... issue...looked under car today while idling, and noticed smoke coming off the exhaust, so something hitting the exhaust and dissipating? smoke is not noticeable at cruising speed(75 mph) (speed limit in west texas) could i possibly be leaking out of the upper oil pan? am i missing something, altogether? thoughts please....had the engine steamed thismorning along with the underside of the car, but do not think water....any ideas??? |

If it goes away after a little while, then something washed off the engine onto the exhaust. If it doesn't go away, then something's leaking...... All I can say is that you'll have to poke around under the hood until you find the answer. This isn't the kind of thing that you can diagnose online.........
