I need to get under my car but jack stands are not enough.

Does anyone know of a place in the Mid Atlantic area where it's possbile to rent "lift" time?

Some military bases have hobby garages where you can do that.

why dont you just by the ramps that u can drive onto and get under the car. they run about $40 (which is a very good and inexpensive investment) and it gives you moderate clearance

?????

What the heck are u doing that jack stands can't get high enough?

Right now mine is 3' off the floor and still plenty to go.I use the Ranger heavy duty truck jack stands on all four points and just for safety use one in the center of the vehicle. I can literally "sit up" under the car.

God Bless
John

Replacing the exhaust system. Just be easier if I had a lift.

I pulled my transmission and exhaust with the car 2 feet off the ground on jack stands.

Yes you work on your back, but its fine.
