W203 C240 brakes
Just about to do the brakes on this car and was told by a friend, that has a E320 ' 03, that the cars computer has to be "put to sleep" before you can do the brakes or the calipers will snap shut. Is that true of the C class as well?

NO, only W211 & C219 cars from 2003-06 AND R230 sl's have SBC brake systems that require that procedure.

Brian, the owners manual should tell you how to do that.
