Throttle Return Spring?

I have a '92 190E 2.3 with an accelerator issue. A few days ago I felt a slight pop when accelerating and now get little-to-no resistance when I hit the gas pedal. And, the RPMs generally stay high when I release it. I can kick it down when in park and get the idle to a normal level but, while in gear, it's a little hard to control.

After seeing a photo on another site, it appears that there should be a spring where the red line is in the attached picture. Correct? Is that the throttle return spring?

If that's what it's called, I can't find it on parts sites. Could it be called something else? Or, is it generic enough to be able to get at someplace like Advance Auto?

Any help is appreciated.
