What are they called?
What do they do? How can you tell if they are bad? What kind of symptoms would happen if they are bad? Thanks in advance.

Looks like the subframe mount bolt. If the subframe mounts are bad you will have a lot of rumbling and popping sounds from the front end.

Sounds like rear frame bushings.
