Look what I found in my transmission

I started anohter thread because my transmission was slipping on a 1993 300SD. (I just bought the car, knowing there was trans issues)

Changed the transmission fluid and filter (Lucked into 8 quarts of Quaker state trans fluid for $1/quart) But when I pulled the pan it was full of this black dusty gunk (clutch) and what looks like what used to be a spring.

btw, the transmission works better than before changing the filter/fluid.

On a side note, the speedo doesn't work, I'm now wondering if the metal wire has to do with the speedometer, as I have all gears.

On a side side note, anyone know how fast a 1993 300SD is moving at 2500 RPM in 4th gear?
