HHEELLPPPP Vacuum lines?? leaks?? 98 C280

HHHEEELLLPPP.......Someone near and dear to my heart disassembled part of the car and now we have,,,,yet another puzzle. 98 C280 has a vacuum line coming straight out of the intake manifold right on the back corner drivers side. I can't see where it's supposed to go and with the vacuum leak from under the intake manifold passenger side being so loud I can't hear any other leaks.By the way what is under the manifold passenger side that could leak that loudly. I also cant seem to see anything of where that leak might be. Part 2. The switchover valve on the face of the engine just drivers side of center has two vacuum lines...one forward and one pointed straight at the passenger fender. That line was dropped from where ever it was mounted and the rubber disfigured terribly. I have no Idea where it goes. My friend at the local mb dealership sent me their shop diagrams but they don't show the rear one at all and is unclear about the front one. Last but not least there is a vacuum line at the back of the engine passenger side of center that is attached to a piece of plastic about the size of a nickle in diameter but and small holes in the center of that face. This line also is not attached to anything......I have read over 200 posts here and my alldata resource is very unclear. If there is anyone who has imput I might put one of your kids through a year of college.
p.s. I'm guessing you've already guessed the car wont idle worth a darn

Thanks as always.
Brian
