Cutting it horizontally does appear to look easier than splitting it down the seam. Was the whole operation a success?

I will find out if it was a success once I finish replacing the fuel line and the starter.

The line from the filter to the engine cracked and started leaking badly.

I could not unscrew/separate the fuel line union (hose from filter to engine fuel line, it was rust welded).

I will update once it is completed.

Sad to inform that ASR issue with limp mode is still present.

Before it would happen after driving for a bit, now is there the moment I start the car.

I have started second guessing myself, will remove ETA again and make sure the wires are in the correct positions. I am thinking I might have made a mistake on the wiring.

After Latief pointed me to a great post from another site, I am convinced I made an error on the wiring (swapped 11 and 4)

I have taken the liberty to import to this post the wiring diagram for the M119 ETA as posted on another site.

I claim no credit for this diagram, nor take any responsibility for anyone using it.

I will swap the pins when I get home and will update the results later this evening.

To close this thread.

I had pins 4 and 11 swapped.

Car has been running great for about 3 days with no sign of ASR or limp mode.

The key to my suspicion came from the fact that no humming/whirring sound was coming from ETA with Key On Engine Off. This would always happen before, and stopped after rewiring.

Thank you all for the support.

PESuaz,

Thanks to you and your thread, I was able to correct the same wiring mistake I made.

Has anyone found a source for the ETA pigtail being sold seperately?
