E-320 dash battery light
2005 E -320 battery light comes on dash, battery ok and the charging is ok. It happens in the morning and the battery light goes out in 10 minutes. Any ideas ?

i think your voltage regulator might be on its last legs

Have both batteries tested. Also, any shop equipped with SDS can check the battery control module for fault codes. The charging system is probably OK, since the warning message goes away after a few minutes.

i think that car has two batteries,one small under hood on right side by windshield[said to be for starting]and larger one in trunk.i have replaced a lot of the small batteries.

One of your batteries needs to be replaced, as it's losing enough voltage overnight to trip the warning. Usually the small one under the hood goes first.
