installing ignition lock cyliner 1993 300E

I am trying to install lock cylinder, cover, housing, and swith on a 1993 300E. I have one day off a week, so I am trying to conquer this tomorrow. I would like any advice, warnings, or step-by-step procedures before I get started.

you really need the ends of the wires to be at roughly 45 degree angles to disengage an internal "lock"
