Wayward Vacuum Line-Please Help!
Good Morning to all from the Hurricane Earl ravaged coast of Virginia!
I've got a 1991 300E (W124; 103 engine) and yesterday while checking things under the hood I found a loose vacuum line. The attached end of the hose is attached to a module that is located on the left side of the engine compartment (as you're facing the car) to the left of the windshield washer fluid reservuor and bolted to the car body. The module is about 1 1/2 inches long with a vacuum hose coming out of the top of it which splits into two. Right below is the hose in question. It is attached to the module; It's tan plastic with two light blue and two red strips on it and is about 18 inches long. The other end is not attached to anything. The bottom of the module has two wires coming out of it. I've never seen this loose hose before as it was wrapped up with a bunch of wires. Other than the cruise control (which used to work about 3 years ago) and the headlight washing system (which never worked) the car runs beautifully. Any ideas? Thanks alot in advance |
