Accelerator Question

I replaced all of the linkage from the peddle to the cruise control and i still have a 1" lag before the car actually moves. Am i missing an adjustment somewhere?

The pedal will move 1" before the car actually moves.

if you look on the firewall under hood where the linkage comes up from the pedal you will see a slotted joint held together by a 10mm nut.see if that will help cut down your pedal travel.
