Hi,
I recently acquired an '88 300CE (automatic). I would like to know, what is MB transmission fluid? When looking into the owners manual it just says that the transmission fluid is MB transmission fluid.

Also, what is the model/nomenclature of the automatic transmission found in an '88 300CE? Thanks.

i have used mobil 1, techs say mercon is their preference... so i have gone back to mercon

Dex III. I use Redline Synthetic D4 in my 300TE and Valvoline Maxlife Dex III in my 260E.
