Before I take the tire off what should I be looking for?

At freeway speeds 65+ going over bumpy terrain the wagons front tire wants to bounce around a bit. The handling is compromised about 10% at this point. I'm guessing a bushing.

Lift the car on that corner, then spin the tire and look for a problem with either the tire or rim being bent or out of round. Look for obvious damage to the rim or tire. Check inflation pressure of the tire, look for missing wheel weights.
