W126 window motor runs, but no movement.
Drivers side windows, regulator is only a few years old, motor runs freely in both directions but doesn't seem to be connected to the regulator.
I opened up the door today and everything appears to be connected the way it should be. Is there anything I should know before going through the hassle of removing the regulator?

Aha! There's my problem
The gear on the motor is broken in half. Regulator is good, motor is good, hopefully I have an extra motor somewhere with an equal sized gear. Using a small mirror helped in getting the motor out without having to pull the regulator (Thank God) The good gear in the photo is one that I pulled off of a seat motor. The diameter and thickness are the same the but teeth are just different enough for me to seek out another gear. Hopefully I can find just the gear for sale as opposed to the entire motor.
