Access to Rearview Mirror support?
I have a '95 SL500 and the interior rearview mirror vibrates while driving, I would like to tighten things up but I'm not sure where to begin. Anyone know if the mirror support can be accessed from above the windshield if I remove the cover to the convertible top locking mechanism? Is there any point to try and remove the plastic cover on the inside of the car that surrounds the mirror "pivot/anchor" support? I could use some suggestions before a break something, Thanks, Steve

You must remove the mirror first.
It is spring loaded to its mounting plate.
