Autozone caries Bussmann copper fuses.

Yup, I was about to say Autozone does as does Oreilly. I THINK PepBoys does also.

you will be pleasantly surprised when you replace all the old fuses with fresh brass/copper ones. most of the intermittent gremlins will disappear.

Click on Fastlane above. Discussing parts sources on this forum OTHER THAN the sponsors of this site who sell parts is kind of rude, don't you think?

Would you waltz into your local auto supply and start telling customers at the counter about other sources in town while the proprieter is standing right there listening to your referral?

My $0.02,

My $0.02,
No. And what is the sponsor sold items at 300% above retail? Would you still buy?

No. Obviously the customer has ALREADY chosen the vendor.

Seriously, your comment is absurd. I shall take your signature at face value!

If I need fuses today what am I going to do? Wait for UPS to drop off the fuses a few days later or go buy them today locally?

I dunno.. I have no logic

I have a 91 190e 2.6 , Sometimes it is hard to track down a common part .
I agree with Colorado 220 . NAPA is probably the best source to locate new parts.
I spent 2 hours last Sat. looking for a air filter @ o'riley, autozone, walmart,advance ,
pep boys... Forgot about the NAPA store 2 miles from my house! got online and checked their inventory in 3 stores, it's done , great website and cheaper than the Stealership!!

The problem with the locally sourced fuses is that they are not the right size from what I have found, and are made of plastic instead of ceramic. I have a whole pile I bought online....so I am set. I've only ever had maybe 2-3 fuses fail in 7+ years....they don't really fail that often...if they do something else is wrong.

I am NOT saying that Fastlane is the only place to buy. I also am NOT saying that you should buy from this sites sponsor regardless of price.

What I AM saying is that it is RUDE to DISCUSS alternate sources of parts on this forum that is being paid for by parts sales on this site.

So, answer my original question. Would YOU go into a parts store and recommend OTHER parts stores down the street as a better source of parts than the store where you are standing, and make these recommendations while the store owner is standing there listening to you make such recommendations?

If the answer to this question is YES, you are a VERY RUDE PERSON!!!!!!!!!!
