(W203) C230K Sportcoupe - maybe new Benz in family
Greetings to everyone
Our (W210) E320 4Matic is near the end of its career, will be sold in the next few months (damned taxation system made it a bit unwieldy as a daily driver). The potential successor will be a C 200K or 230K Sportcoupé. There is one for sale nearby, a beautiful silver example, 2002 model (manufactured October 2001). The car, being a pre-2003 model, is most likely a M111.947 engine (190 hp / 193 PS) with supercharger and automatic gearbox. It has rather similar features to the W210, that is "power everything"(windows, seats, mirrors), ABS+ESP, electronic climate control, leather seats etc. What potential problems should appear in this kind of model with rather high mileage and what should be checked first? Which performance should I expect from it if engine is in good condition? Thank you, ~Nautilus

If by "sky-roof" you mean glass sunroof, it doesn't.
But the mechanical side? Which are the parts that should be checked? Is the automatic gearbox a 722.x like the W210/W211 Mercs? Electrical glitches? Thank you, ~Nautilus

Yes, all MB's of that era used the 722.6_ series auto trans.
Fluid changes are the key to LONG life on that gearbox!
