Braided cloth covered hose question - W124

1988 CE, hose coming out of reservoir tank neck and disappearing into the fender well somewhere...mine is dryrotted and broken in half at the neck. I can't find a replacement part online, anyone know a source? If not, I assume rubber hose is acceptable as a replacement, correct?

Thanks!!

I believe it goes to an overflow receptacle in the fender well ahead of the passenger door. On a w124 you access it through the fender well liner.
Yes, regular hose is okay to use.

Have you tried the forum sponsor for that part? Other online vendors show it available, although rubber hose will do. It runs from the expansion tank to an overflow tank in the wheel well. P/N 114-997-18-82
