16V Valve Spring Removal - Help
I'm in the process of doing a re-ring on my engine. I have the head off and have no idea of how to remove the valve springs on this engine without the MB tools. I don't think a regular valve spring compressor will work as the springs are shrouded by the head material (the springs are recessed into the head with very little clearance around the springs). Does anybody have any ideas or tools to remove these valve springs? I'm stuck...help.

I use 4 MB factory tools to remove the valve springs on my race car engines. These tool cost around $500!! Have a good machine shop remove the valves & do the valve job. NOT a DIYER at all!!

Thanks for the info. I'll go ahead and take it to a reputable machine shop to get it done. Steif1 |
