W124 rear control arm replacement...Anything else while in there?

I will be doing my 300TE's rear control arms in a few weeks since the bushings are toast...bad wheel alignment due to it and it causes the car to 'blow away' in the wind.

....anyway. Anything else I should check out while in there other than the subframe mounts?
I may give a shot at trying to figure out why my SLS isnt working too -- Fluid is fine, but does not raise. It hasn't cause me any problems for the last 4 years. Haven't even noticed it to be honest, but always nice to know it works ya know?

Thanks guys

"lower wheel carrier bushing". The joint between the lower control arm and the wheel carrier casting. The part is cheap, replacing it can be a PITA, ... if the boots are torn it's on its way out.

Does the fluid pump back to the SLS tank when there's a load in the rear? If so, it is either a bad or misadjusted SLS valve. If not, weak pump.

how do I check that? Have someone sit in the rear and watch for bubbles in the reservoir?

Put a load in the rear so it is low, run the engine, remove the cap of the reservoir to see if fluid is pumping from the return. If it is, either the valve is bad or it's misadjusted. No fluid returning and rear not rising means a weak pump or no fluid.

I will for sure check this. It hasn't worked since I purchased the car 4 years and 30k miles ago, but it hasn't cause even a hint of an issue so I never worried about it.

Thanks!
