190e 2.3 16v engine rebuild

How much would it cost to rebuild a 190e 2.3 16v engine? Need as much info as possible ASAP as I am interested in buying this car but other offers have been made and the guy wants to sell it quickly. I dont know what blew in teh motor but I know it is blown so I think a complete rebuild is necessary. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
