aluminum hood/trunk
I have heard conflicting information on the following questions, and hope someone can provide definitive answers:
1. Is the trunk deck as well as the hood of the 380SL, 380SLC, and 560 SL made out of aluminum? 2. If so, how much less (than steel) does the aluminum hood weigh? 3. How much less does the aluminum trunk deck weigh? 4. Is the trunk deck for an SL an exact fit for a SLC? Thank you. |

See on 'SL forum' thread titled "SLC owners - how does it handle?". Hoods and trunk lids are interchangeable. Regards
