mushedroom Looking at your car in that picture it looks like the rear is a little low .... but .... here we go ....

What we all need is an emprical way to measure our cars ride heights.

I know that they are supposed to be measured by the angle of the suspension arms standing on a level surface.

I wonder

-if anyone knows of how this is done?
-is there any other way to measure correctly?

In my opinion the rocker panels should be parallel to the pavement. Most cars are sprung so that this happens at maximum load. Since most of us never haul maximum load our cars may be higer in the rear. A little of that is OK. I just don't like the "jacked up" look like we used to do in the late sixties. A look I hate even worse is when a car is lower in the rear. That looks really goofy. A friend of mine has a 735 BMW like that. It looks like he's hauling rocks all the time.:p

Since this is supposed to be the "Let's all post a pic of our Benz(s)" thread .... I'll start a new one called "Ride height"

When my new rear shocks come in and maybe after a fender roll, I will be able to put some 16" SLK staggered wheels on.
