Unhappy W126 Heater Core Replacement - HELP!

Hello everyone,

I've been breaking my back all day taking apart the 300SE for a heater core swap. I've gotten the dash out, the steering wheel off, and I have even opened the top of the heater box and can see the heater core.

How in the hell do I swap that core? It looks like I have to take the whole heater box out. If so, how does one do that? All the write-ups I've seen leave off at this point. Do I have to discharge the A/C system and pull the evap too?

I'm stuck and need help.

Thanks!
