smog check and collapsed motor mounts?
Greetings,
Would collapsed motor mounts prevent me from getting a smog check? In other words, must I first fix the motor mounts before the smog establishment can check the smog check? would vibration impact the test? I am currently under extreme and very tight budget (to live on) so need to get by with the least amount of cost / no cost. Recently the car has started to vibrate when starting (most noticeable when parked - and cold). I was told a while back that the mounts had/or were collapsing.. my guess is they have fully collapsed, just as I have managed to save for the smog (yep, times are hard). So, If i take the car to get smogged (need to do an oil change too), would the mounts / shake disqualify it from from futher testing? (part of visual test?) Thanks,
