'98 C280 croaked at stoplight

Hello all, not much good with the wife's car. She drove a mile, it stalled at a stoplight and refuses to restart. I know the right 02 sensor is bad but that wouldn't stall the engine - I believe it's a gas problem since when it stalled, it didn't just instantly shut off (by her description) but stuttered to a stop over a couple seconds.

I did a bit of searching but no joy...
Questions abound...

What/where are the major players on the fuel delivery system?
What is the correct resistance for the crank position sensor (and where is it)?
Where/which is the fuel pump relay?
Does this car have an OVP relay, about which I've read much?

Background which may be idicative... the car would occasionally start then stall, then after restarting and a gentle boot on the gas, no problems running. This may not be significant but I'm open to opinions.

Gas gage reads much over full when tank is actually near full, but reads okay when tank is half or less; reserve light functional, wife refuels when the odometer suggests she oughta (I think this is separate and unrelated).

Anyone want to sell me the Bentley manual applicable to this model?

There's no OVP in that car.

It would be a good idea to add a few gallons of gas to the tank so you can definitely rule out that the gas tank isn't empty.
