ECON mode won't shut off
Anybody out there know why the ECONomy mode on the climate control system can't be shut off? I tried pressing every button, restarted the car, but as soon as you set the system to AUTO, ECON goes on again. Any Ideas?

This seems to be a common W210 problem, but I can't remember what the problem is. Warranty will cover it...

I think this happens when the compressor is not engaging properly... possibly indicating a problem the your CC.

What is the outside temperature? I remember an audi I had would do this if the outside temp was below 5 deg c.
