w201 Drivers Window Motor and Switch good... wiring bad?
1993 190e 2.3. Drivers power window dead
Tore into it a little and was under the assumption that I had a bad motor/regulator. Not the case, I applied 12v to the grn/blk wires going to the motor and viola, it sprang to life. Up/Down depending on polarity. Worked great. So... Swapped switches w/the Pass side and the drivers switch functioned that window without issue. Pass switch connected to the drivers window harness... Nothing. So the switch is good. The problem seems to lie within the harness going to the drivers door. It it common for these to crack or break inside the door boot? How does the boot come off, seems like it's very little room to work in there, and there's no slack in the harness. Thanks for any help!! |

Nice!
For future reference; typically the wiring in the door jams for the rear windows are what go bad.
