Why would the stresses at one end of the drive shaft be different that those at the other end? I replaced mine with the same disc on each end. Don't forget the bearing in the middle too, as long as you've got the drive shaft out already.

So you are running the rear type disk on both ends then?

No issues with harsh pickup or vibration or anything?

right now I'm running both rear discs on front and back and I have no issues at. but I ordered the front disc and a transmission mount. unfortunately, my transmission mount was saturated with oil and I didn't know what it was at first. thought it was just a pan that held a bunch of grease so I started pulling out these chunks of grease not realizing it was the greasy, deteriorated remains of my transmission mount

Thumbs up

Ok so the new flex disc came in today (the front one), so I swapped them out and now everything is where it should be, the front disc is on the front and the rear disc is on the rear. while I was under there I checked the rear flex disc and it was still in excellent shape, no cracks or loose bolts to report. so I guess I have a spare one just in case. I also did my transmission mount. check the photo out of what it looked like.

Uro Part Flex disc (update)

Just a brief update. I'm not marketing or promoting this brand in anyway, but I just thought I'd mention that I installed Uro brand flex disc 4 years ago around 278,000 miles, I am now at 366,985 miles and the flex disc is still in great shape. No cracks.
