Fastlane shows the same part number for both front and rear flex discs.
So you think the car was fitted from the factory with the rear type disk at the front? And you replaced it with a rear type disk and no problems running like that?

cheers!

right now I'm running both rear discs on front and back and I have no issues at. but I ordered the front disc and a transmission mount. unfortunately, my transmission mount was saturated with oil and I didn't know what it was at first. thought it was just a pan that held a bunch of grease so I started pulling out these chunks of grease not realizing it was the greasy, deteriorated remains of my transmission mount

No problems that I can detect.

OK i'll come clean...when I got my 300TD I could tell it needed a flexdisk, popped under the car confirmed the propshaft knocking (centre was ok ) so went off to order a disk for it.....got a rear one ...without checking which...(autopilot - just done the rear one my230 )

Finally got round to setting up to do the disk and obviously it was the front disk that was knackered

The current rear looks perfect ...so I'm tempted to just throw the new rear disk on the front just to get it done...hence asking if anyone has done it without problems. Especially as it's listed as 'Taxi' option - cos with all the running around for the missus & sprog I do call my wagon (quietly) 'The Taxi'

Sounds like works ok, and would save grief, P&P, exchanging it ...

Thumbs up

Ok so the new flex disc came in today (the front one), so I swapped them out and now everything is where it should be, the front disc is on the front and the rear disc is on the rear. while I was under there I checked the rear flex disc and it was still in excellent shape, no cracks or loose bolts to report. so I guess I have a spare one just in case. I also did my transmission mount. check the photo out of what it looked like.

Uro Part Flex disc (update)

Just a brief update. I'm not marketing or promoting this brand in anyway, but I just thought I'd mention that I installed Uro brand flex disc 4 years ago around 278,000 miles, I am now at 366,985 miles and the flex disc is still in great shape. No cracks.
