1992 500E Reading Error Codes

Hello All...
Can't believe I haven't had to do this until now, but I'm finally getting around to building an DIY error code reader for my 1992 500E... problem is... WHERE IS MY PORT??? I keep reading about 500E owners that have a LED module, but perhaps mine is too early? Mine looks like this... Thanks!

It's right under the black round knob, or you can take off the entire rectangular cover. You may not have an 8 pin ancillary connector with built-in pushbutton / LED.
