Do I need a new SRS Control Unit?
Hey everyone!
I was involved in an accident with my 1991 300E approx. 7 weeks ago that deployed the driver's airbag. The force broke my hand. I've gotten a new steering wheel with airbag but now i need to know if the control unit needs to be replaced or can it be reprogrammed. The belt tensioner system is fine. Nick |

You only get one deployment from the module, so yes it need to be replaced.

Ditto! all SRS modules from 1988 thru 1993 need to be replaced after deployment
