Today I was recharging my AC after vacuum completely the system.
Last year I had leaks which caused my system to go empty and then I had it vacuumed to check if it was loosing vacuum but it was maintaining at -28 PSI in both sides. Before start adding new refrigerant, I decided to add Stop Leak and after that I added new refrigerant 134a which brought my compressor running again. After get 12 oz of refrigerant on it the system still not cooling at all and then I add 12 oz more but the ac was still not cooling and the compressor temperature was going very high and the cooling fan for condenser was not starting. I then check for the fan condition bypassing the thermostat and it worked. The hose from compression side of compressor to condenser was very hot but the condenser was at ambient temperature. As the compressor was very hot I turned off the engine and stop to add refrigerant. I found out that there was too much refrigerant checking the high and low pressure. I did adjust the pressure on both sides of system but it still not cooling the air or, the same as it was before start charging. Last year it ran very good even with a small leakage. What I can not understand is why compressor got so hot and the condenser did not got hot ? Someone said that probably the Stop Leak made the compressor valve or expansion valve to get clogged not allowing compressor to compress the refrigerant. The total refrigerant into the system was around 30 oz with 8 oz of Stop Leak. Conclusion: I do not know what happened and what to do as DIY. If you have some idea why for this happen and what to do to get it running, please let me know. Thanks everyone. Nyko46

WOW.
OK, stop leak is not a good idea, it can reallly foul things up. my recommendation would be to get some a/c flush, pull the compressor, the expansion valve, and the reciever, flush the lines, pressurize with nitrogen, and test for leaks... Vacuum is a very bad way to test for leaks... (it's not -28psi, it's 28" of mercury... approximately -14 psi...)then, evacuate the system, and charge the system with the weighed in correct volume of refrigerant, then
