Greetings from a newbie...
Just purchased my first Benz 2 days ago. An 89 300E with 104k. Immaculate inside and out. Was surprised to discover last night that I can shift from Park to any other gear, without having my foot on the brake. Furthermore, I can even move the shift lever with the engine off! Is there really no interlock on the 89's or do I have a problem? Did a search but no definitive answer as best I can find. Thanks in advance! Mike. |
