Mixture plug stuck
Has anyone had to deal with a stuck plug in the bore to access the mixture screw? I'd like to adjust mine and I think I might have to drill the damn thing out. (disassembled of course)

you can't drill the ball. it's hardened steel to prevent that. mb sells a kit with a new tower and screws. you drill out the mounting bolts-or, you measure down from the top 10mm and cut the top of the tower off. this assumes emmisions inspection won't fail you for this UNAPPROVED procedure. you didn't see me post this. good luck, chuck.

That screw
is factory set and should never need to be adjusted so long as the fuel distributor is not changed. Almost all that attempt to do so end up in more trouble than they started.

Take a thin cut off wheel and make a vertical notch about 10mm in the tower at the top. This will let you get a pick under the plug and pop it up.

It isn't a threaded set screw with a slot in it?? because this is..
and I don't have to worry about emissions regulations ![]()
