how to clean a/c system lines
I'm in the process of rebuilding the a/c system in my '90 190E 2.6. I would like to completely clean out the old R12/mineral oil from all the lines, evap, etc. What's the best way to do this? Mineral spirits and compressed air? Does it matter which direction?
Thanks, Glen |

I have used acetone in the past. Chase it with compressed air. Just be careful with it or it will eat the paint off your car. I blew out my lines both ways.
You are installing a new compressor, right?

Yes, changing out compressor but also want to renew everything. I will be installing a new condenser too. Thanks for the info...acetone sounds like a good option.
