Need to get convertible tonneau cover up without power on CLK 430!

Hello all,
I own a 2000 CLK 430 Convertible. My wiring harness is damaged, and I need to get the convertible top up so I can have it shipped to the dealer to have it fixed. But without being able to power the car, I cannot get the convertible tonneau cover (the one that covers the convertible top when the top is retracted) to move so I can get the top up.
Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance for anyone that has any tips, suggestions, or answers. Great forum by the way!
Jay

??? It's a three year old question, and I'm not sure it's the answer that's needed.

The W124 cabriolet has a tool that manually unlocks the cover so you can raise the top. You will never get it locked under the rear window, but it is possible to get the top up.

I'll bet it's a similar setup, the tool is included in the cabriolet toolkit.
