part name for plug.. ? w124 m119 engine

thanks in advance, I was working on my E420, 94, and found this plug but couldn't figure out where it goes. I'm attaching the pic, if someone will be kind enough to let me know what this plug is for and where it should plug in... thanks
this is right behind the driver's side head light area...

strangely enough there's no intake manifold temp sensor on the driver's side... is it supposed to be attached to the air intake hose that has foam covering ? I searched and found out this... is this the part where the connector is supposed to plug in..where should this part be located ? thanks.

EXACTLY where i don't remember, but i was all over an e400 this summer, chasing a left headlight washer/wiper problem, so i was in that corner a lot. i 'm pretty sure it's in the non-insul hose. the picture of the sensor looks right. otherwise, sorry, i could be wrong. good luck, chuck.

The sensor is held in the cover behind the headlight. The cover is where the flex hose connects to. Inside there should be a special clip to retain the sensor. Its usually missing and you need to fabricate another method of retention... think zip-tie.
