Only if you're burning a massive amount of oil.

Where can I find out about ZDDP levels in oil? I am currently using Mobil 1 0W-40 (European Fomula).

In an older 103 I wouldn't even mess with M1- engine and seals were not built with Synthetic properties in mine. M1 is overrated.

15-40 Rotella, and be happy. My M104 has 161K on it and ZERO burn on the stuff, even in PHX AZ summer temps.

I use the Ford powerstroke labeled oil in my m103. It's always on sale for cheap and it has all the diesel goodies in it. In fact it always seems to be on clearance.
