1993, 190E No reverse on upgrade
I was told by a mechanic that the: no-reverse-when-on-an-upgrade, may be caused by the cars computer. The car has low mileage (about 119,000) and has not been driven stressfully.
Is there an appropriate test to determine the cause?

100% mechanical problem! Trans removal & multi-disk clutch replacement required.
If that mechanic doesn't know that?? Run away from him on that type repair!

Is it best and cheaper to replace the trans with a used one or to go the disk replacement route? Anyone out there very reasonable who can do the trans?

If I had the choice, I believe I would go with the new clutch set, and repair the transmission I have. Buying used could unleash a whole new can of worms.
