Code 46 Resonance intake manifold switchover valve
Possibly as a result of my own incompetence, my CEL light is on. I had disconnected the switch on the thermostat housing that operates the high-speed cooling fans, and was reattaching when I noticed a bit of a pop, maybe a little spark even.
Got my trusty homebrew code reader and get the code 46, which will clear but returns. Can anyone comment on the Resonance intake manifold switchover valve? Where is it, can it be sorted without replacement, etc. Thanks any and all, Dave |

Don't want to leave an unresolved issue on the BB. I never really ID'd the resonance intake manifold blah, blah, but was able to clear the code. After using the homebrew code reader to clear the codes, the CEL was still on. I disconnected the battery for a couple of hours. When reattached, the light was out.

Its to the right of intake tube, best way to see it is to remove air intake tube, you then will be able to see resonance valve, look towards intake side to the right of air intake you just removed ,remove the 2rubber plugs, remove the 4 allen screws and pull straight up,disconnect connector and take all the way off
