1987 300E Instrument Panel- Which bulb goes where?
I ordered new bulbs for my 300E Instrument panel. After I got the bulbs, I removed the instrument panel thinking the correct position of the bulbs would be self-evident, and for the most part they are.
But, I received 7 bulbs of one type, and an 8th bulb which is very similar. The first photo is the back of the instrument panel. There are 8 positions for bulbs of a similar size. Three are located in the upper half, and five along the lower right part. The second photo is the unique 8th bulb. It seems to have a reflector collar, but other than that, it would fit any of the 8 spots. The third and fourth photos show a typical view of the 7 bulbs. As I removed each bulb, I looked carefully to see if any of them differed, and none did. I guess the simplest question (yes, too late for that) is, Does anyone here know which socket the unique bulb fits into?
