Depending on weather car idles very rough/sputtering especially in the am for first drive.
40-60f and the car needs to reach about 175 on temp guage before you can drive it without very rough idle. 40 and below and the car barely starts. takes about 2 minutes to even fast idle. then even after reaches 175 very rough. So far have replaced fuel distributor, checked injectors, checked hoses. Any Ideas? Thanks |

rough idle
thanks I will try that. But the rough idle occurs even in warm weather now. Some times even when the car is close to 200 on temp guage. Also the gas mileage has gone down markedly in the last couple of weeks as the problem has increased. Thanks in advance for any help |

The warm up regulator will affect your performance in all weather conditions. It controls the pressure the fuel distributor "sees". If it malfunctions, the distributor will not feed the correct fuel mixture to the engine.

Is a warm up regulator the same as an air temperature sensor? Thanks!
