No heat in So Fl?
Being in SO FL I am always worring about my a/c working. It is a 126 300sd with a well functioning A/C. Lo and behold I am in NO FL and it is 38 degrees out and no heat came out of my car. Luckly I have long pants on and not my normal shorts. I did turn the wheel to a red setting and nothing changed. I am so used to A/C not functioning that I am drawing a brain freeze as to what to look for. Last winter I know we had heat and I never really thought about it. What could be broken or not working. The engine did not even make 80 degrees so I consider it cold out. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The problem with no heat in that car is usually due to bad monovale innards. It's an easy diagnosis and fix. You can look it up hereon. Just do a search for monovalve repair.

Curbill, if the engine isn't even heating up to normal operating temp, sounds as though you have a problem with a defective coolant thermostat. The 2 issues could be connected, and monovalve remains a real possibility too.
